BURNOUT

Burnout, or HPA axis dysfunction (HPA-D) as it is officially known, is an overstimulation of the adrenal glands from chronic stress that may, over time, lead to varying levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) in the bloodstream.

Additionally, people with adrenal fatigue often don't have enough DHEA, the "parent hormone" responsible for creating many necessary hormones in the body.

Other aspects of modern life could be causing adrenal fatigue, including;
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Poor diet
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Sleep deprivation
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Chronic stress
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Stressful events in life, such as divorce or death
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Emotional trauma

Symptoms may include;
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Chronic fatigue
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Disrupted sleep
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Reduced exercise tolerance and recovery
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Low libido
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Brain fog
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Hair loss
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Weight gain
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Insulin resistance
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Weakened immune function
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Decreased stress tolerance
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Depression
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Muscle or bone loss
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Moodiness and irritability

Burnout affects nearly every cell and tissue in the body and can significantly affect your overall health.

My garden is busy giving me lots of chamomile flowers. I'm enjoying a nice cup of chamomile tea. Perfect for chilling out and relaxing in this wet weather.
