BURNOUT
Burnout, or HPA axis dysfunction (HPA-D) as it is officially known, is an overstimulation of the adrenal glands from chronic stress that may, over time, lead to varying levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) in the bloodstream.
Additionally, people with adrenal fatigue often don't have enough DHEA, the "parent hormone" responsible for creating many necessary hormones in the body.
Other aspects of modern life could be causing adrenal fatigue, including;
ππ» Poor diet
ππ» Sleep deprivation
ππ» Chronic stress
ππ» Stressful events in life, such as divorce or death
ππ» Emotional trauma
Symptoms may include;
ππ» Chronic fatigue
ππ» Disrupted sleep
ππ» Reduced exercise tolerance and recovery
ππ» Low libido
ππ» Brain fog
ππ» Hair loss
ππ» Weight gain
ππ» Insulin resistance
ππ» Weakened immune function
ππ» Decreased stress tolerance
ππ» Depression
ππ» Muscle or bone loss
ππ» Moodiness and irritability
