Profile of Sensei Erwan Goasdoué, who teaches in Acacia Ridge (Brisbane)

Erwan commenced his Karate journey by practising Sh*to Ryu in 1996 in France, subsequently transitioning to Shotokan in 2000, earning his Shodan in 2003.
Upon relocating to Australia in 2004, he began training under the tutelage of Senseis Mike and Nga Connolly at the Yeronga and Acacia Ridge Dojos. His passion for Karate has fuelled his seeking for continuous learning and improvement. After a serving as assistant instructor, he became the head instructor to the JKA Brisbane South dojo in 2015.

Sensei Erwan has also engaged in the practice of various other martial arts, including Yoseikan Budo and Aikido, which fostered his practical interest in self-defense and the interpretative meaning (Bunkai) of Katas (forms). He firmly holds the conviction that the attainment of a black belt signifies the commencement of an extensive journey of continuous research and learning.

Sensei Erwan's guiding principle is "Jusqu’au bout" (Till the end) and currently hold JKA Rokudan, C Examiner, B Instructor and A Judge certification.
