Floor levelling is almost always necessary when laying large tiles or engineered flooring.
In this case there will be 1500mm x 750mm tiles being installed.
It was crucial for to get the finished tile heights flush with the sliding door tracks and also to get the surface extremely flat (3mm over 3m tolerance) for laying such enormous tiles.
The entire main area was brought up 15mm to give the tiler 20mm to the top of the door track.
The smaller room was raised 15mm along the door track and transitioned back as the room was sloping up very slightly.
Worked out beautifully, and in a single pour.

Flake floor in "black opal"
This floor was in very poor condition and took a lot of work to get it right before being able to apply an epoxy flake finish.
A mix of DIY concrete and severe water damage meant we had to remove and replace the worst affected areas with new concrete.
We then installed a hydrostatic waterproofing membrane over the entire area before installing self leveller in multiple applications to create a solid substrate for us to be able to apply our 100% solids epoxy flake system with solvent based polyurethane top coats.
Magic does happen. 🤣
