Boondall Figure Ice Skating Club (BFISC) is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated Annual Ice Spectacular! 🙌 This year, we’re inviting you to experience the beauty of our planet like never before, at ‘Enchanted Earth on Ice’ ⭐️

This event will showcase performances from some of Australia’s highest ranked competitive figure skaters, ice dancers, and synchronized skaters 🤩 Alongside them, we have a diverse line-up of supporting cast comprising promising new talents, recreational and competitive adult skaters, and enthusiastic beginners - including the youngest participants from the skate school program 💫

BFISC has once again enlisted their team of highly talented and experienced ice sports choreographers to create a show that promises to be unforgettable! 👏

With performances at 11:00 AM, 2:30 PM, and 5:00 PM, there’s a show time to suit everyone’s schedule TODAY (Saturday 13th of December, 2025). We hope to see you there! 🙌

🤩 MEET THE CAST🎙️ Back by popular demand - We are thrilled to welcome BFISC’s very own Darian Kaptich back to the ice stage! 👏

A household name in Australian figure skating, Darian is a three-time Senior Mens national figure skating champion and an all-around genuinely awesome guy. With nearly two decades of experience on the ice, Darian has become a true ambassador of the sport ⛸️

Darian’s figure skating career has taken him to many international competitions. Most recently to Seoul, Korea, to compete at the ISU Four Continents event. There, he delivered two highly entertaining programs that earned him a personal best score! 🤩

Mid-year, Darian faced a disappointing setback when an injury forced him to withdraw from competition for the rest of the season. Despite the blow, Darian has demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination to come back to the competition scene stronger than ever in 2026 💪

Today, we have the privilege of witnessing Darian’s much-anticipated return to the ice 🙌

We encourage you to sit back and enjoy the spectacular performance of a true figure skating legend. Welcome back, Darian! 🎉

🤩 MEET THE CAST🎙️Welcome to the spotlight, the talented Catie Ryan! This year, audiences are in for a treat as Catie returns to the ice stage in the highly anticipated 2025 BFISC Ice Spectacular production, Enchanted Earth 🙌

With 12 years of dedicated training under her belt, she has honed her skills as a competitive figure skater. Whether in competition or on the ice stage, she remains a shining example of what can be achieved through perseverance and passion. Her ability to combine athletic prowess with artistic expression makes her a standout in the figure skating community ⭐️

Catie dreams of one day travelling to France to explore the city of Paris. She tells us she’d also love to skate on a frozen lake in Canada, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty ⛸️

While Catie is a winter sports enthusiast, her favorite season is summer. She cherishes beach days and the thrill of ocean swimming ☀️

🤩 MEET THE CAST🎙️ Welcome to the spotlight, the wonderful Ava Zhao! This year’s BFISC Ice Spectacular: Enchanted Earth, will mark Ava’s debut performance with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on board! 🤩

Ava first laced up her skates when she was only 5 years old. She fondly recalls the very first time she skated - she tells us she fell and couldn’t get back up! After 5 years of hard work, she has mastered many elements, and now feels as if she’s flying on the ice! She finds joy in the balance between technical skill and creative expression ⛸️

Ava’s favourite spin is the ‘Camel’ - a classic spin that demands both balance and strength. She tells us that her favourite jump is the Single Flip, which involves a quick approach, a toe-pick takeoff, and a single rotation in the air before landing on one foot! 💪

Ava’s favourite season is winter because she loves the cold and snuggling up warm in bed at night ❄️

When Ava isn’t at the rink, you’ll no doubt find her swimming in the pool, or hanging out with her friends 👯‍♀️
