Familiar things feel safe because your brain knows what to expect — even if what you’re expecting isn’t actually good. That’s why people stay in routines, relationships, or environments that drain them. Not because they’re fulfilling, but because they’re predictable.
Growth often feels uncomfortable precisely because it’s unfamiliar. It asks you to step into situations where you don’t have a script yet.

Avoidant attachment style is a pattern of relating to others that develops when early caregivers were consistently emotionally unavailable, dismissive, or unresponsive to a child's needs. Over time, the child learns that relying on others leads to disappointment, so they adapt by becoming self-reliant and suppressing emotional needs.
Avoidant patterns can also shift over time — particularly with self-awareness, therapy, or consistent experience with a secure partner.

Disability isn’t something that needs to be “fixed” in a person — it’s often the environment, attitudes, and systems around them that create barriers.

At its core, inclusive support means:
✨ Listening to lived experience
✨ Adapting environments, not people
✨ Creating spaces where everyone can participate and belong

Because real inclusion happens when we remove barriers — not when we expect people to overcome them alone.

✨ Positive Behaviour Support focuses on:
• Understanding the why behind behaviour
• Building skills for communication and independence
• Creating environments where people can thrive

Because real support isn’t about control — it’s about connection.
