Most impact testing on encapsulation mesh gets done at the minimum the standard allows. Ours didn't.
ConstructAmesh was independently certified at a 60 kg impact mass — double the 30 kg required under the current Interim AS1576.7 standard. We've also passed the AS 1530.2 flammability index test, and separately, the NFPA 701 flame propagation standard.
We didn't test to scrape past the line. We tested to know exactly where the line actually breaks.
If you're sourcing encapsulation mesh, ask your supplier what mass their product was tested at. Then ask to see the certificate.
