New Horizon is a supportive program for young people aged 15–24 living in Logan City & surrounds, who are feeling stuck, disengaged from school or work, or needing a fresh start.

Participants complete a Certificate I in Construction while also receiving mentoring, life skills support, meals, and help with pathways into work or further training.

It’s practical, hands-on, and focused on building confidence, routine, and real opportunities in a safe and supportive environment.

We have some incredible news to share! One of our very first New Horizons Certificate I in Construction graduates has just secured himself a full-time job. 🛠️🏗️
At just 15 years old, his work ethic is already inspiring. However, he’s facing a significant hurdle: he doesn't have a license yet, and his new job involves a 7km commute with a very early start.
To make this opportunity work, he’s reached out to see if we can help him secure an electric scooter so he can get to the site safely and on time. 🛴
The Goal:
We have identified the right scooter for the job, which costs $799. We are looking to our amazing community to help us raise these funds to get this young man on the road.
Why this matters:
Gaining full-time employment at 15 is a life-changing milestone. It’s about more than a paycheck—it’s about independence, responsibility, and building a foundation for a lifelong career. We want to ensure that transportation isn’t the thing that stands in the way of his success.

🌭 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – BUNNINGS BBQ FUNDRAISER (UNDERWOOD) 🌭

Overflow Foundation is running a Bunnings BBQ fundraiser on
📅 Sunday 4 January
⏰ 7:00am – 4:00pm

We’re looking for volunteers to help make the day a success. Realistically, we need 4 people at any given time, and we’re running the day in 2-hour shifts so it’s manageable for everyone.

🕒 Volunteer Time Slots
• 7:00am – 9:00am
• 9:00am – 11:00am
• 11:00am – 1:00pm
• 1:00pm – 3:00pm
• 3:00pm – 4:00pm (pack down)

You don’t need experience — just a willingness to help. Tasks include cooking sausages, serving, taking payments, and keeping things running smoothly.

💛 Why this matters
Every dollar raised goes directly back into supporting vulnerable young people through Overflow Foundation — funding mentoring, meals, life skills, and pathways into training and employment. These fundraisers genuinely make a difference and help us keep showing up for young people who need support.
