When was the last time you checked your insurance?

Last October new Australian Safety Standards came into force for new and imported Quad bikes and from October 2021, new rules will apply. All new and secondhand imported utility quad bikes should have minimum stability levels and and an operator protection device (such as roll- over protection). These changes came from a 2019 court case that saw a farmer ordered to pay $400,000 compensation to someone injured on the farm while riding the farmer's quad bike.

Quad bikes This safety standard applies to all quad bikes from 11 October 2020 with additional requirements for general use quad bikes from 11 October 2021. The standard does not apply to second-hand quad bikes other than those imported into Australia.
