The Australian and Philippine governments are finalizing the Subclass 462 Work and Holiday visa arrangement, initially set to start on 1 July 2024. Although the implementation is still pending, we are here to keep you informed and assist with your preparations! π¦πΊπ΅π
π Reminder: What is Subclass 462?
- A work holiday visa allowing young Filipinos (ages 18-30) to travel, work, and study in Australia for up to 12 months. πβοΈ
π Key Benefits:
- Work for up to 6 months with each employer.
- Study for up to 4 months.
- Travel in and out of Australia as often as you like during the validity of your visa.
π Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a valid Philippine passport.
- Have completed tertiary qualifications or at least two years of undergraduate or post-secondary education.
- Meet health, character, and financial requirements.
- Have functional English proficiency.
π Next Steps:
Both countries are now undertaking the administrative arrangements necessary before launching the program in the coming months. We will publish a start date and other details on this page as soon as all arrangements are finalized.

This will include advice to Filipino passport holders on how to get a Letter of Concurrence (LoC) from their Government, as well as any specific application requirements for Australian passport holders.
