TASK National Group
We deliver multi million dollar Telco Implementation Services across Australia.
Our partners BAI Communications recently hosted their innovative, annual Safety Town Hall, a part of their celebration of National Safe Work Month.
During their presentation the team at BAI Communications were able to enlighten and educate by presenting both, some jobs with safety concerns, and contrastingly, some jobs with exemplary safety conditions; acknowledging that "at times things can go wrong and do go wrong, but with the right planning things can go right".
TASK National is always proud to partner with BAI Communications but is even more proud to be featured in their "Things can go right", Things to Celebrate section.
One of our two featured projects in 2022 was a helicopter lift in far north . The site was Mt. Bellenden-Ker, the 2nd highest mountain in QLD and also the area with the greatest amount of rainfall in all of Australia. An advanced concoction of risk was involved. However, TASK has an exemplary safety record and, as we do for every job, we worked through our Project Risk Assessment process, critical design review, method of procedures and safety documentation.
We agree with the core takeaway from BAI Communications - Things to Celebrate presentation. The key is effective communication between all contractors. is about people, and planning for safety is about talking to people. The TASK National team are all about talking to people. We prescribe to the thinking that high quality work and high-quality safety procedures starts with high quality relationships.

By adding RF EME services to our existing base of and expertise we open up a more efficient and cost-effective range of solutions to our clients. Task National has also incorporated new methodologies in relation to RF planning, by incorporating personal RF suit protection into its practices. This reduces lengthy outage windows and disruptions to live transmission services during onsite works at most telecommunication or broadcast sites.
According to a Gartner survey, the average cost of IT downtime is $5,600 per minute. 98% of organizations say a single hour of downtime costs over $100,000. 81% of respondents indicated that 60 minutes of downtime costs their business over $300,000. 33% of those enterprises reported that one hour of downtime costs their firms $1-5 million.
Furthermore, Task National’s EME Team can offer a range of services, including onsite RF survey
measurements, investigative desktop studies, detailed RF reports and support.

The TASK National Group is excited to have integrated an experienced, well equipped RadioFrequency EME (RF EME) team under its banner. This allows TASK National to offer professional and extensive RF determinations across the entire and broadcast industry sectors. The Task National Group acknowledges it is imperative to provide its employees with a safe RF working environment.
The word "radiation" often brings to mind radioactive materials and x-rays. However, EME does not behave like the radiation from radioactive material or x-rays. Radiofrequency EME is transmitted by communications systems as radio waves - electromagnetic waves that have the capacity to transmit sound, music, speech, pictures and other data invisibly through the air. All radio communications systems use EME in the radiofrequency (RF) part of the electromagnetic spectrum between 3 kilohertz (kHz) and 300 gigahertz (GHz). These include TV, AM and FM , mobile phones and their base stations, paging services, cordless phones, baby monitors, and emergency and rural communications systems.
In Australia mobile network communications are regulated by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). For the safety standards for mobile communications and other radiofrequency signal transmissions, ACMA takes advice from the Australian Radiation Protection And Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA). Safety standards are based on careful analysis of the scientific literature (both thermal and non-thermal effects) and are designed to offer protection against identified health effects of with a large in-built safety margin.
Since 2002 Australia's safety standard has been based on the safety standard recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
