Telangiectasia (Spider veins)

Premature sun damage, ageing skin, inflammatory diet, stress are a few common contributing factors to spider vein appearance. Nd:YAG was used to destroy the fine veins. All happened in the dermis. The epidermis was left intact. It can be a stand alone treatment or incorporated in the facial rejuvenation or skin pigmentation reduction.
After one treatment, the four week follow up revealed a nice improvement of the skin over the sides of the nose and the cheek of this patient. Consultation before treatment is necessary and results may vary. Some cases require more than one treatment.

Risks involved that are commonly known in laser treatments are
- Skin looks red, itchy
- Skin burns in inexperienced hands, consumption of photosensitive medications, or prolonged sun exposure prior to treatment
- Skin hyper/hypo-pigmentation or scars

Laser Lip Plumping and Rejuvenation

FotonaSmooth®️ has another application that pleases many of all ages. It is lip plumping. It can be done as often as weekly, with low to no downtime. It is suitable for those who can’t have or don’t want lip augmentation by injections. The results would be considered as a ‘subtle’ lip plumping effect: fresh, smooth, natural looking, improved in volume. There is no risks of vascular occlusion. The vermillion border pops up, overcome the problem of lipstick smudging. The whole peri-oral area looks fuller as a result of formation of new collagen, elastin, and blood vessels.

Lip tattoo may not last as long. A number of sessions are needed. Lip Plumping and Rejuvenation can be part of the 4D facial skin rejuvenation or a stand alone treatment. Case suitability will be discussed at the consultation appointment.

Risks involved that are commonly known in laser treatments are
- Skin looks red, itchy
- Skin burns in inexperienced hands, consumption of photosensitive medications, or prolonged sun exposure prior to treatment
- Skin hyper/hypo-pigmentation or scars

Deep wrinkles, nasolabial folds and marionette lines and smoker lines (barcode lines)

This is one of our favourite cases and full of challenges but we’ve got it. Long history of sun exposure, hormone imbalances, collagen and elastin deterioration, little fat support under the skin. Luckily she has always used quality skincare products.

Er:YAG, Nd:YAG lasers for intra-oral lifting to tighten mucosa and support the lower third of the face; stimulation of deep and superficial collagen regeneration and new blood vessel formation; the skin got refreshed with the fractional peels as the final step of every session. Skin booster was also used in the last 2 sessions. It all started in early 2021 with 4 sessions and yearly maintenance treatments. Smoother skin, much less fine and deep lines and wrinkles, tighter skin pores. Good skincare products, healthy diet and life styles, and sun protection are the keys to keep results
long lasting.

Consultation for a treatment plan is necessary. Results can vary. Second opion is recommended. Risks involved that are commonly known in laser treatments are
- Skin looks red, itchy
- Skin burns in inexperienced hands, consumption of photosensitive medications, or prolonged sun exposure prior to treatment
- Skin hyper/hypo-pigmentation or scars

Healing Laser
applications in aesthetics, certain laser wavelengths have excellent healing power known as
Photobiomodulation (PBM).
After absorbing the laser energy, mitochondria within the cell gets energised, making its own anti-inflammatory chemicals, accelerates cell proliferation and regeneration. Swelling subsides sooner and the risk of scarring is much less. Post-op downtime gets shortened. Old scars get softened. Together with laser scar revision, the treated tissue heals more effectively.
Beyond aesthetics, laser PBM reduces muscular spasms, swelling and pain. Dentists, sport medicine specialists and body workers are some of the healthcare workers that regularly utilise PBM in their treatment plans.

The photo here showed the perfect round large spot size with even energy distribution, and stable energy delivery. The patent MarcCo handpiece allows effective, predictable energy reaching the targets with little-to-no risks to any skin type.
