🖥️ Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Software Engineering Level 3 | RFQTS 17128 | $140–$150/hr | Max $158.90/hr

Azooa is currently preparing a response to RFQTS 17128 and we’re keen to connect with a strong Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support the Directorate of Deployed ICT (D-ICT) within the Joint Capabilities Group (JCG).

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working hands-on across infrastructure design, systems engineering, integration, technical assurance, and cross-project delivery in complex Defence ICT environments.

The role supports mission-critical deployed ICT capability across the Deployable Information Environment (DIE), Fleet Information Environment (FIE / FIS), and Mission Partner Environment (MPE) — environments supporting 400+ nodes and 800+ terminals across Defence operations.

A bit about what you’d be doing:
🔹 Designing and developing infrastructure solutions across multiple Defence projects
🔹 Producing engineering artefacts including HLDs, configuration docs, QA plans, build guides, scripts, playbooks, and SOPs
🔹 Delivering current state assessments across infrastructure, systems, and hardware environments
🔹 Developing solution design packages and integration outputs
🔹 Supporting build, deployment, sustainment, and capability uplift activities
🔹 Delivering technical assurance outputs and objective quality evidence
🔹 Investigating issues, identifying root causes, and documenting remediation actions
🔹 Producing engineering coordination reports, technical advice outputs, and decision records
🔹 Providing senior technical advice and helping build consensus across stakeholders

We’d love to hear from people who bring:
🔹 Strong infrastructure engineering and systems engineering capability
🔹 Experience delivering in Defence or other complex ICT environments
🔹 Strong design, documentation, and technical assurance experience
🔹 Confidence working across multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder groups
🔹 The ability to support secure, scalable, and integrated infrastructure outcomes

📅 Start: 31 May 2026
📆 Duration: 18 months + 2 x 12-month extensions
🕒 Effort: 345 days initial | 230 days per extension
🔐 Clearance: NV2 mandatory
🛡️ Conditions: Defence policy, APS Code of Conduct, and ITAR/export control compliance required
✈️ Travel provision: $18,000
⏱️ Overtime: Not permitted unless approved
💰 Rate guidance: Azooa recommends $140–$150/hour incl. super | Max $158.90/hour incl. super
