As coaches and leaders, the pursuit of mastery is a never-ending journey that calls us to continuously learn and refine our craft. No matter how extensive our training or years of experience, there is always room for growth. This is why we often come together with our peers in various formats to sharpen our skills and expand our knowledge.
A community of practice (CoP) offers a space for professionals who share a common passion or set of challenges to deepen their expertise through ongoing interaction and collaboration. In a mastermind group, a small number of individuals meet regularly to brainstorm ideas, provide support, share resources, and hold each other accountable for personal and professional growth. Peer supervision, on the other hand, is a process where professionals of similar standing offer feedback, guidance, and support to one another.
Introducing "Bringing Ontological Coaching and Leadership to Life" (BOCLTL), a unique offering by Deanne Duncombe and myself for coaches and leaders who have at least a basic, and perhaps a deep, familiarity with the distinctions of ontological or generative approaches. BOCLTL is a blend of a CoP, a mastermind, and peer supervision, creating a conversational space where you can deepen your understanding of ontological distinctions and be supported by your peers in applying what you know to your own life, leadership, and coaching practices.
BOCLTL is not designed for those new to ontological coaching or leadership. However, if you're seeking foundational training in these areas, we can gladly provide recommendations for excellent coaching and leadership programs to suit your needs.

School leaders are responsible for the education of the next generation, and I am in awe of their commitment to our young people. My 'Powerful Conversations' approach to developing leadership and collaboration has been proven with thirty school principals, and I am now ready to offer the approach to Australian schools at Edutech in Melbourne. Please share this post with your school leader friends who are committed to continuous learning and want to be more effective as collaborative leaders and level-up results and a culture of wellbeing in which people thrive.
(PS I have VIP guest Edutech passes, each worth $760, to give away to five school leaders - register here: bit.ly/Edutech-Guest-ReflectingPower .)
