We’re sad to see you leave, Sarah. Thank you for all your hard work and for helping keep rowing in the ACT going strong. We appreciate everything you’ve done, not just for our club but for all Canberra clubs.

Wishing you all the best in this exciting next chapter.

Rowing ACT is sad to announce our Executive Officer, Sarah Davoren has made the decision to resign from her role to pursue a position with the ACT Brumbies as Events and Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for Sarah, and one we are confident she will do well in, after nearly 5 years with Rowing ACT and 3 years since she stepped into the Acting Executive Officer role. Sarah will finish up with Rowing ACT on May 15th 2026.

Australian Rowing Championships 2026.

What a week for CRC!

What an incredible Championships from our Canberra crew! From medals to finals appearances, our athletes left everything on the water and we couldn’t be prouder. Here’s how it went:

🥇 Cormac Hayes took gold in the PR3 Men’s Single Scull, an outstanding performance from start to finish! (Also silver in the interstate PR3 Men’s Single)

🥈 Harry Braithwaite alongside Elias, Schomann & Humphreys from Mosman claimed silver in the U19 Men’s Quad.

🥈 Dylan Outram, Jesse Rosin & Darcy James (alongside James Robson from ANU) took silver in the University Men’s Quad Sprint.

🥉 Darcy James (alongside James Robson from ANU) brought home bronze in the U23 Men’s Double Scull!

🥉 Darcy James (alongside Hamish Harding & James Robson from ANU) grabbed bronze in the Open Men’s Quad!

🥉 Garvan Hayes had a phenomenal week, 3rd in the U21 Lightweight Single, plus finals appearances across the U21 Single, Double and Quad.

Darcy James with a tough 6th in the U23 Men’s Single A-final, Angus Scott with a close 5th in the U21 Men’s Single A-final.

Big shoutout to Angus Scott, Ben Haywood, Campbell Milne, and Cam Schmidt for their efforts racing throughout the week.

Can’t wait for next year!!

Two weeks later and we’re still thinking about our fantastic trip rowing on the beautiful alpine lake with Jindabyne Rowing Club

JRC were incredibly organised, supportive and welcoming. Providing boats, coxes, strokes and even a rescue tinny to keep everything running smoothly. CRC was glad to return the hospitality with four pairs of well-loved sculling oars, breakfast from the JRC cabana, and a small contribution toward repairing some of their oars.

A great example of clubs supporting each other, we’re already looking forward to the next visit!

Thanks Jindabyne Rowing Club!
