Today is Tishah B’Av - a day mourning the destruction of both ancient temples in Jerusalem. For many it is also a day to reflect and rebuild. Where do you see division and destruction? What divide in society could use your contribution? Your voice? Your action? How will you acknowledge Tishah B’Av?

Yesterday was a historic day for our congregation with the inaugural Shabbat service in our very own Progressive prayer space! The service was so beautifully led by Rabbi Gary Robuck and attended by over 50 people from Canberra and beyond (in person with social distancing, and over Zoom). The mezuzah was attached, the space was blessed, and memories, stories, songs and laughter were shared. Thank you to each and every one of you, past and present who have advocated, fundraised, donated, and helped over the last 50 years to make this happen. May all who enter feel welcomed, supported, comforted and at peace in our very own Progressive home ♥️
(PS - no chairs were stacked or unstacked, and shall never be again,in the making of this space 😉)
