Did you know Canberra plays a critical role in NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration space missions, including the recent manned Artemis II? 🌕🚀

The Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, operated by CSIRO, is one of just three global stations in NASA’s Deep Space Network. From this site, Canberra helped keep astronauts connected on their journey to the Moon and back.

The Australian National University also provided important laser communications support for the Artemis II mission from the ANU Quantum Optical Ground Station at Mount Stromlo Observatory.
