LATE NIGHT SHOPPING AT THE TREASURY | Thursday 30 July from 6 - 8pm
For lanyard-wearing-folk of CBR who can’t make it to the Treasury during our normal opening hours, we’ve decided to open after dark. Ditch your swipe cards, forget the work deadlines and schedule a meeting with the Treasury from 6pm on Thursday 30 July.
Our Gallery will also be open, and Craft + Design Canberra will be opening four brand new exhibitions. Enjoy the art, have a drink to celebrate the artists and enjoy a wander of the Treasury after dark.

OPPORTUNITY CLOSING IN TWO WEEKS | 2027 Craft + Design Canberra First Nations Curatorial Opportunity | Closing 30 July 2026
Craft + Design Canberra is calling for Expressions of Interest from First Nations curators, artists and makers to curate or lead an exhibition in late 2027.
This curatorial opportunity provides a platform for First Nations perspectives within the contemporary craft and design sector. The selected curator will work closely with Craft + Design Canberra staff to develop their exhibition concept, select and liaise with artists, and create accompanying texts and programming. At least 33% of the artists involved should be from the Canberra region and neighbouring Country.
Previous First Nations exhibitions have explored themes ranging from cultural continuity in contemporary materials to environmental stewardship and cross-cultural dialogue. The exhibition will be presented in our main gallery space at Craft + Design Canberra.
