Good Sammy CEO Kane Blackman joined our Year 10 students on the final day of term, sharing his passion for social justice and business. Thank you, Kane, for inspiring our students to think about the positive impact they can make in their communities and beyond.

Vale Horatio T Birdbath

Good Sammy acknowledges the passing of this generous and kind man.

Horatio was a daily visitor to our Fremantle store. He was much loved by staff, who looked forward to every encounter. He radiated a warmth and energy like no other.

Our store carries his artwork on an internal pillar and our couch always had, and will always have, a spot for him.

Our Fremantle Store Manager, Charmaine, had this to say about Horatio:

"Horatio, our friend.

He would unassumingly walk in, wandering around looking for nothing in particular. He would chat or just sit on our couch in the book area reading.

Our staff loved to find “ Horatio” items, mostly dress up things that he would happily put on and parade around the store

I would bake cakes and slices and he was the perfect taste tester. He would score with a pleasing groan as a pass mark.

He loved being with our staff and we would look out for him daily. Everyone would announce his arrival and rush to him to say hello. We miss him terribly"
