NEW ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM: AUTOMED
Dear Patients,
We have replaced our Hotdoc booking system with a new system called Automed. You can access this new booking system via our website https://comogp.com.au/ or by downloading the AMS Connect mobile app and following the prompts:
Apple devices click http://tinyurl.com/y8e4gwan
Android devices click http://tinyurl.com/ybfqrvr2
You may receive reminders for upcoming appointments, reviews, assessments, or reviewed test results from the new dedicated number 0436432298. If you save this number as Como GP SMS, or similar, you can be sure that any messages are legitimately from us.
You may, at any point, opt out of our messaging service by replying STOP, and we will revert to letters and/or phone calls for you instead.
*** WE RECOMMEND DELETING THE HOTDOC APP TO AVOID CONFUSION WHEN BOOKING YOUR FUTURE APPOINTMENTS AT COMO GP ***
If you require any assistance, you are always welcome to speak to our friendly reception staff.
Kind regards,
Como GP

Given WA’s COVID-19 epidemiology, we have modified our consultation protocol so that we may provide you and the community with the best evidence based medical care. Our restrictions are based on WA’s phase of community restrictions.
All patients are permitted to book face-to-face appointments. Telehealth and Telephone consultations are encouraged where possible, especially for patients at increased risk of severe COVID disease, including:

3. Pregnant; or
4. Parent of a child under 12 months; or

Wearing a mask is mandatory until further notice
Although our waiting room continues to be open, patients may choose to wait in their car and be collected by their doctor if they prefer. All patients will be required to sanitise their hands prior to entering and leaving Como GP. All patients are required to register their attendance with the ‘SafeWA’ app or our manual register.
GET TESTED IF YOU HAVE COVID SYMPTOMS:
It is also timely to remind everyone the importance of getting tested if you have any of the following symptoms indicating possible COVID infection:

3) Recent history of Fever (night sweats, chills etc) without a known source OR
4) Acute loss of smell or taste
Actions for ANY PATIENT that meets the testing criteria:
1) Patients are NOT permitted to attend Como GP unless they have a proven negative COVID-19 test

c. Self-present to a COVID testing clinic at FSH, RPH, SCGH, or Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) or GP respiratory clinic.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – Patient Broadcast # 19
CONSULTATIONS:
The WA government’s public health orders require up to 14 days isolation for Covid contacts and this has serious implications for staff and services at Como GP. Como GP’s priority is to provide patients with a continuity of service in these challenging times and we are therefore taking measures to reduce Covid exposure by minimizing foot traffic through the practice. This will reduce the risk for Como GP staff and give patients the confidence to attend the practice in person when their medical condition requires it.
As such, all consultations at Como GP must now initially be conducted as a Telehealth or Telephone appointment, with bookings made through HOTDOC preferred. If your appointment is urgent and there are no appointments available on HOTDOC, please call our friendly reception staff on 6165 2444. Appointments already booked will now be conducted by telehealth unless otherwise notified.
During these initial phone appointments, your doctor will advise if they need to conduct a further review with a face-to-face consultation. This may take the form of a consultation while you are sitting in your car in the car park at Como GP or, in some circumstances, a consultation in the doctor's usual consulting room. Patients that are clinically required to attend a consulting room inside Como GP must wear a mask and sanitise their hands prior to entering and leaving Como GP. All patients are required to register their attendance with the ‘SafeWA’ app or our manual register.
Como GP's protocol will be continuously reviewed and updated to reflect any change in the Government's public health orders.
