Kenzstructions carpentry is looking for a qualified carpenter to join our team. Our team is expanding due to sustained growth with work booked in to 2023. We are offering an attractive renumeration package with potential for further career development within our business for the right candidate.

About us:

We are a fast-growing high end carpentry business based in Southeast Melbourne. Kenzstructions completes a wide variety of projects from extensions, decks, pergolas, quality custom builds and high end architecturally designed homes. Some of the areas we are currently working in are Mt.Martha, Aspendale, Camberwell and Malvern.

About you:

We are looking for a qualified carpenter who will have the opportunity to learn from our director working closely with him to start and then you will progress to working autonomy. You will lead a team of 1-2 apprentices. This is a fast paced, hands-on role that requires a talented, adaptable individual who can meet unexpected challenges that may arise throughout the project. This role would suit a motivated, qualified carpenter who is wanting to take the next step into learning to manage sites, trades and deadlines while under direction of the company director.

Qualifications and experiences required:

· Trade or Tertiary carpentry qualification
· Minimum 4 years carpentry experience on custom domestic builds
· Reliable, responsible and adaptable
· The ability to use your initiative and think on your feet
· Excellent problem solver
· Excellent Time management and organisational skills
· Great communication skills both verbal and written
· Is a team player however is able to self-motivate
· Strong leadership
· Basic knowledge of domestic building codes and regulations
· Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
· Driver’s license
· A Construction induction card ‘white card’
· A strong appreciation for carpentry and attention to detail
· Full set up of carpentry tools
· Good sense of humour and people skills

Remuneration:

We offer an attractive remuneration package and working conditions. The hourly rate offered will be based on the candidate’s level of experience and expertise
