There’s something special about Saratoga… prehistoric, elusive, and packed with power. While they don’t always steal the spotlight like barra, Top End fishos know just how iconic these billabong battlers really are. 💪

Here’s what we record every single time:

📏 Length (cm)
⚖️ Weight (kg)
🌊 Water temp
📍 GPS coordinates
📅 Date + time
🛶 Depth
👤 Tagger name
📸 Photo proof
🗣️ Comments (for context or ID)

Over time, this detailed data helps paint a clear picture of how healthy our fish stocks and waterways are, and how things change across seasons and years.

🔁 If you recapture a tagged fish, leave the tag in and record:
– Tag number
– Length
– Date + location
– Any extra notes

It’s science, Territory style. And every tag makes a difference. 🎣💚

We hit Corroboree Billabong for a quick session adding to our Saratoga story. Every fish was carefully measured, weighed, tagged, and released back into the system with a new bit of pink bling 🎀.

We’re not just fishing — we’re helping paint the bigger picture. These tags give us clues about how far these fish travel, how fast they grow, and where they call home across the Top End.
