How time flies!
Sammy Babol Jewell, Australian Champion, 54kg lacing em up in Kuala Lumpur.
Sammy had a walkover in the first, then beat the Malaysian in his home town (dropping him with an uppercut), lost in the semi final to Botswana winning a Bronze medal for Australia.

Hi guys, it’s been a minute. This is an appreciation post.
I just wanted to acknowledge this young man’s progression in life. He’s come along way in all aspects as a great father, family man, achieving his honours in law, an aspiring comedian (🤡🤦♂️🫡), part time boxer and an all round champion bloke. I’m super proud to call him a friend.
I have an attached a short clip of him boxing. (NT Titles, handing out free boxing lessons). We made big transition in his style from a brawling Rocky 1 type fighter to a neat moving, hit and not get hit type boxer.

Former IBF and IBO Super featherweight world champion.
I remember working with this young man whilst in the Australian team years ago. Very charismatic and a will to succeed that had to be seen to be believed. He was like a young Ali telling everyone how he was gonna be the champ etc.
50 pro fights later he’s about to have another shot at glory.
I’m proud of everything you’ve done man.
