Vixen’s music days as a youth was spent watching bands, youth centres, hip hop night and parties and electronic dance music. Vixen’s serious electronic music journey began in Canberra around ‘04, developing a taste for rave music; techno, acid techno, breakbeat, Doofs and club parties. She started collecting music and purely for the fun and love of the music she started playing at after parties. 2006 vixen finally bought her own decks and never looked back.
About 2006 after she graduated from Australian National University / University of the Arts Berlin, Germany and received her Bachelor of Arts with Honours and Graduation award for Environmental Studio and resource, she decided to make the move to Melbourne.
Vixen moved into a warehouse and slowly became friends with various crews and soon found she had a love for techno and acid and experimenting. Supporting Techno Mulisha and loved the music and the sound system culture. Collecting techno, acid, breakcore, jungle and drum and bass. Vixen was also madly in love with reggae sound systems, dances and dub. After months of collecting and practise she slowing start to join crews and play. Vixen would always be going to techno, drum n bass, breakcore, house parties, and band nights and producer nights
Later down the track she linked up with Peter, dj Kayboku and put her own time and sweat into making sure the Monday night rave continued. She would set up the show with her own gear if need. Vixen never wanted Drum n Bass Mondays to stop and now the sessions have a strong following.
Still being so fresh in the music scene all she wants to do is create and now experimenting with Ableton and amazed by what you can do, expect some fresh music out in 2020. Vixen is known for representing an insanely vast range of electronic music genres electronica, dub, bass music, half time, drum and bass, Jungle, UK garage, House, Techno, Electro, Acid & Hard Techno, supporting local talented produces and sound systems, and collaborating with various crews. Celebrate music and Soundsystem culture, in all it's influences.
