Behind every Americana Assembly is a simple idea: put great artists in a room with people who love songs. We're lucky to have co-founder and musical director Nathan Seeckts helping make that happen once again at The Union Hotel in Brunswick on Saturday July 11th.

Seemingly hewn from Bellarine Peninsula basalt, Nathan Seeckts is one of Australia’s most passionate and honest songwriters. His vocals are imbued with all the heart worn grit of Steve Earle, grounding songs that are alternately heaving, shivering and jangling with feeling. Whether punching out a heartland belter or immersed in a nostalgic reverie, Seeckts delivers immense humanity, compassion and catharsis.

It was an absolute treat it was to sit on the performer panel with .carroll.104 and on Wednesday night, as part of the Geelong Live Music Summit.

The nerves were running hot, but I think I was able to share some decent insights in between one liners...

There were lots of great takeaways from the event and it was awesome to spend the evening together with folks who want to see music thrive in our region.
