I just did a lesson on Social Media and Digital Citizenship yesterday I wish I took this book with me. Another pearler from Nick Blande who brought you the Very Bear series, The Wrong Books, the Aunties, to name a few.

The Fabulous Friend Machine is perfect for literacy lessons on Inference, questioning and making connection. The image of Popcorn the chicken going from the most outgoing and attentive friend to staring at a screen all day is a lesson for all of us. It has the perfect mix of farm yard cute and real world scary played out by animals.

Movement activity: Set a timer. Students hold a pretend phone in their hand and pretend they are texting or playing games. When you bump into someone you need to sit down. When almost everyone is out check the time to see how long it took.
