It is with a broken heart and the warmest of memories of a loving devoted mother [as can be seen in this photo] ..that we announce Mrs Carmela Brooking born on the beautiful Island of Ischia Napoli Italy on Valentines day the 14th February 1934 passed away at 1.33pm Perth Western Australia today.

She possessed such strong will and determination...born with the dna of a warriors fighting spirit that saw her live an amazing 91 years.

Living through world wars..imigrating to Australia ..raising us here she treated every person she met regardless of ethnicity ..colour ..orientation with a warm Italian embrace and expression of love.

She housed and helped so many international students within her own home ..teaching them English (ital-english) and mothered them like her own children.

Love..love ..love...that's what my beautiful mother expressed (sometimes misdirected mixed with the craziness of her Italian passion) but none the less...at the heart of it all...she was love...total love.

Her love and passion will forever live within me ...and I will continue your legacy of sharing love with every creed of human as you taught me.

You are free to fly my beautiful mumma...I love you...your spirit is with us now and forever. I am heartbroken but so grateful for your life and what you have done for me. ❤️
