After some downtime with Rick last week it’s safe to say his drive has never been more alive. The drive to push the boundaries and continuously see what the body is capable of is something else, complacency doesn’t have a place in this sport.

We’ve got an entirely new game-plan coming into this season and I can’t wait to see it unfold.

It’s the day of rego and we’re ready to hit the ground running, endless amounts of work has gone in behind closed doors, and we’re ready for what the week ahead has in store for us.

As we entered the arena, Rick’s Shoulder was on everyone’s mind. All were thinking it, and a number of them asking it… Is it going to hold up? Has his recovery been rushed? Is it too soon for him to attend a well-known ‘heavy’ competition. Little do they know it’s taken the best team to get him back here to 100%.

Though mind games don’t work when it comes to Ricky, nothing phases him, even to the point where he let out a comment as we left rego day, I think my repaired Shoulder actually feels better than my other one, haha 😂

After winning Event 2 with a heavily dominated Shoulder movement (Log Muscle Up’s) we knew for sure that this Shoulder was in the game.

I couldn’t have been anymore proud of your effort over the week bro, witnessing your resilience first-hand and battling through after severely ripped hands on the second day, just goes to show your determination to compete at the highest level.

It was an honour to prep you before each event and after every day to ensure we stayed on top of the recovery, and we did just that! We only wish there was a Day 5 to keep climbing.

Back to camp, back to further body work and to making a few adjustments before the next comp! Can’t wait for what’s to come 😤

Statement Made! Throughout this camp we broke down the mechanics and focused on improving Hip Mobility (specifically External Rotation) + her Rotational Power (Thoracic) to have a direct translation into her grappling and striking performance!
