Over the past few weeks, HolmesPC has seen several water-damaged laptops come through the workshop.

This customer had their laptop stored in a bag alongside a bottle of water. Unfortunately, the bottle leaked, allowing water to make its way into the laptop and cause damage to the motherboard.

After carrying out repairs, we were pleased to return this laptop back to the customer fully working.

MacBook Pro randomly running slow or shutting down? It could be overheating!

This customer brought there MacBook Pro in saying that it randomly switches off, a quick test and we determined that the unit was overheating.

After disassembling the motherboard we were able to replace the thermal paste (The awesome stuff that transfer the heat from the CPU to the heatsink) and put it back together. It's now running like new
