Despite the flooding, Scott visited Diamantina Shire Council last week to assist with their corporate plan. He captured these images from the plane last Monday and the view in Bedourie on Friday.
The shire remains only accessible by plane and could be for months as repeated heavy rainfall both in the local area and upstream makes its way to Lake Eyre.

Issue #43 of the Mead Perry Group newsletter is out! This issue's feature story discusses how to maximise the effectiveness of internal auditing and recent trends, including risk evaluation, audit plans, resourcing models, and leveraging technology.
The issue also overviews the projects we have worked on and shares some photos from travel this year (and a very cute puppy).

A few weeks ago Scott had the privilege of visiting Carpentaria Shire Council to assist in developing the Council’s corporate plan. Working closely with Councillors, staff, and community members, he facilitated workshops to ensure the plan reflects the region’s unique opportunities and priorities.
A well-structured corporate plan is a vital tool for shaping a region’s future, and it was fantastic to see such strong participation from the Carpentaria community. We thank Councillors and staff for their commitment to the process and special thanks CEO Anne Andrews for her leadership.

Scott and Bryce had the pleasure of visiting Cloncurry last week to assist with service levels and internal audits. Scott snapped some photos of Lake Moondarra on the flight as well as Bryce outside Council's administration centre.

Last week John and Bronwyn attended our final conference for the year! The attendance at the LGFP Annual Conference was fantastic and we'd like to extend our thanks to everyone who took the time to have a chat with us.
As the year comes to an end, we'd like to thank everyone who engaged with us at conferences and other events. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
