Healing is like a never ending hike. Some moments you’re excited to get going, do the work and start the process. Others you wonder why you ever bothered, question your sanity and struggle with deep, dark emotional states.

Then there are moments when you catch a view. It all makes sense, and it all becomes more valuable than you ever thought it could or would.

Healing isn’t linear. Healing isn’t ever about one problem to be fixed. Just like there’s rarely one thing experienced on a hike.

As a Myotherapist I’ve worked with high level athletes of all ages and one of the take homes consistently with those clients has always been about big picture perspective. The loss and grief that can come with a physical injury or set back and the grind it can be to truly rehab.

I still work with athletes, and also take a lot of what I know about that lifestyle and translate it to help everyone else heal too- body AND mind. From first hand experience I know it has to be both. All parts of us are along for the healing journey.

Healing is a part of all of our stories. Whether it’s a physical injury, chronic pain or another trauma. It’s a chapter- not the entire book.

That is what you’ll be saying after your first visit.

The β€œwait it out and see if it goes away” plan is no longer in style. If symptoms, soreness or pain doesn’t resolve within 2 days, we recommend getting things assessed. That way, you can start an immediate action plan to calm tissues down and figure out why it is happening.

Most importantly, having pain is a sign that something needs to be adjusted or changed in your training or lifestyle. I am here to help develop your long term plan to make sure it doesn’t become a recurring event.

You deserve to keep moving and STAY moving.🌟
