Hi all, just a quick update on whats going on.
I am on track to getting things happening. Still haven't found a place to set up in, but i not giving up.
Meanwhile, i have been working hard behind the scenes on designing and creating some displays to put into the museum when I eventually find somewhere.
I thank those who have supported me and not given up on me.

Van Dieman Model Museum has been the brainchild of Mykel Salter. A small project in which is promoting the art of model building and model making (big and small).

When open there are 2 major rooms, The train room with an HO Scale (1:87th) Model train diorama (I don't call it a layout) and a Lego Room.
The HO Scale model train diorama is designed as something Unique that is not based on any place or region. The layout is an Island with Twin cities (one at either end).
There will be trains running around the layout doing different things, cars moving around the roads with small scenes set out in different area's.
The Lego City is a complete MOC (My Own Creation) with various scenes throughout.
Another part is the Automobile room with cars, trucks and buses, motorbikes all on display.
There is a miniature room which has displays of dolls houses and various creations in this.
There is also a military room, Ship room and Aircraft room with a temporary gallery to complete the museum where various displays are changed throughout the year.
I hope this gives you all an insight on what i am trying to do.
Thank you
Mykel

Hello dear friends and family.
I am writing to give you an update on what the situation is.
I still do not have premises at this stage and I am struggling to get anywhere. But in my searching and talking to people i am blessed to receive the support that I am getting. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Matt for his help in teaching me how to VLOG (Still something new to me).
Van Dieman Model Museum I hope is in the last stages of planning so i can get it up and running. MY goal somewhat has been changed to next year now, with the COVID-19 pandemic, but in this time I have taken the opportunity to learn more and work at getting right ready for the day I can open the doors to the public.
I would also like to thank those persons who have kept me encourage to keep going and not use hope.
In the past 6 weeks, I have received some emails from people who have sent me resumes and cover letters applying for jobs. I thank those who have been doing that and I have personally replied to those (10 people) who have contacted me.
I wish I was open now ready for Christmas but sadly no this is definitely not the case.
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for sticking by me and helping me thru some difficult times. I will hopefully have another post before Christmas with some further updates.
Thank you
Yours Sincerely.
Mykel Salter
