Good News for Employers – PayDay Super Is Still Just a Proposal

PayDay Super has been proposed by the Government, but it is not yet law. The suggested start date of 1 July 2026 has not been legislated, so your current quarterly superannuation payment schedule remains unchanged for now.

However, there is one confirmed change:
The ATO’s Small Business Super Clearing House will close from 1 July 2026, with the March 2026 quarter being the final period it can be used.

This is a good opportunity for businesses to stay informed, plan ahead, and begin reviewing alternative systems.
