Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition that affects the nerves controlling movement. Over time, it can impact strength, mobility, speech, and breathing.
While there is currently no cure, early support and a multidisciplinary approach can play an important role in maintaining comfort, function, and quality of life. Physiotherapy may assist with movement, positioning, respiratory support, and strategies to manage fatigue and stiffness.

Today is about raising awareness, supporting those living with MND, and recognising the families, carers, and health professionals involved in their care.
