We're thrilled to introduce the SITUATE 26/27: Young Worlds artists. This iteration of our program places children and young people at the centre of the creative journey.
✦ Sophie Ambler (Lutruwita/Kaurna Country) is an experimental artist and producer whose work spans participatory, site-responsive and socially engaged forms, from cult variety shows to immersive comedy to large-scale public art.
✦ Delia Breen (Lutruwita) is an emerging theatre maker drawn to feminist encounters of ordinary life, site-specific work, and non-linear creative experiences that centre youthful perspectives.
✦ Bernadette Lewis (recently relocated to Lutruwita from Boorloo/Perth) is a contemporary dance artist, choreographer and educator deeply curious about transformation, adaptation, and the interconnectivity of the individual and collective.
✦ Lila Meleisea (Beaumaris, Lutruwita) is a Samoan-Tasmanian multi-instrumentalist and community-engaged artist whose practice weaves sound, video, performance and ancestral knowledge across her two island homes.
Welcome to Young Worlds. We can't wait to see what you make.
SITUATE 26/27 is supported by Creative Australia and Arts Tasmania.

Two programs. One campaign. Real, tangible impact on the lives of young Tasmanians.
ARTERY brings professional artists into schools and communities across Tasmania, including young people in some of our most marginalised settings. Your donation funds the practical stuff that makes it possible: $20 covers costumes for kids who have never performed before. $50 puts learning resources in a rural teacher's hands. $100 puts a professional dance artist in a Grade 3 class.
SITUATE is our artist development program, a platform for emerging and mid-career Tasmanian artists to develop new work alongside leading professional practitioners. Here, careers are built and new Tasmanian work gets made. $100 puts creative materials in the hands of an artist in development. $200 funds a mentor for two hours and sometimes two hours is all it takes to shift the direction of someone's practice entirely.
We have secured $20,060 of our $25,000 target. Every dollar donated by 31 May is matched by Creative Australia's Plus1 program, doubling your impact before it lands.
If you've been meaning to give, this is the week.
