Behind every piece of jewellery we make is a story that begins long before I ever sit at my bench.

The story begins deep in the opal fields, where the days are long, the work is hard, and patience is a big part of the job.

Here Dwayne stands with our digger, searching through ancient ground that has kept its treasures hidden for millions of years.

There is something I love about this photo it’s honest, authentic, unhurried as he reads the dirt & I can feel his happiness because this is his fave place to be!

Every opal we find has its beginning here, it’s been earned with grit, determination, hope & a little bit of luck!

For those of you who recently fell in love with the incredibly stunning ring we shared and reached out asking if we have any stones similar, the answer is both yes and no….

Opals truly are one of a kind, and no two stones will ever be exactly the same. In saying this, stones from the same opal field can share similar play of colour & patterns, but they are never the same & that’s a big part of their charm!

We found this beautiful opal in our mine a few years ago and she has been patiently waiting for her forever home ever since. Her colours are captivating, the depth & layers to her are truly unique.

She is a 7.25ct solid stone, measuring 16mm by 10mm.

Millions of years ago before the red dust & the hum of opal mining machinery this land was covered by an island sea. An ancient sea vast, shimmering & alive.

The colours within our opals are not just colour, they are memory. The memory of ancient waters that once teamed with life, now captured in stone deep beneath the earth of Lightning Ridge. Each piece of our jewellery carries a whisper of that long lost sea.

This opal has such beautiful oceanic blues & vivid flashes of green colours, which has now been captured forever in gold.

The stone is a solid 1.5ct Lightning Ridge opal, found by us.

This solid gold ring is made of pure 9ct yellow gold, with a 2mm round band width.
