Ever heard of Hospital in the Home (HITH)? 🏡

HITH allows patients to continue their treatment from the comfort of their own home. It's a great option for patients who need medical treatment, but don't want a long hospital stay. 🫶

Medical, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, mental health and social work are all services that can be accessed. Patients are classed as a hospital admission and clinicians can see them in person or via a phone or video call, depending on the condition being treated.

Some of the conditions that can be managed via HITH include:
👉 skin inflammations
👉 blood clots in the legs or lungs
👉 pneumonia and severe chest infections
👉 urinary tract infections.

To access HITH, patients need to be medically stable, have a fixed address, a working phone, and a safe home environment.
