Join us for a hands-on, creative workshop where science and photography collide! Using everyday items such as milk, cream, inks, glues and food colouring, we'll explore the fascinating world of colloids and create abstract images bursting with colour, movement and texture.

No two images are ever the same, and the results can be surprisingly beautiful, painterly and creative.

Whether you're looking for inspiration for our September Set Subject or simply want to try something new, this workshop promises plenty of experimentation, learning and fun.

Recap: 🦜📸 May Club Outing – A Bird Lover's Delight!

What a wonderful morning our members enjoyed at DeMoylens Lagoon.

With perfect weather, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of birdlife, it was easy to see why this location is such a favourite with nature photographers. The lagoon certainly didn't disappoint, offering opportunities to photograph birds, reflections, flowers, insects and the peaceful landscape itself.

We were fortunate to have some very knowledgeable club members on hand, generously sharing their expertise and helping everyone get the most from the outing. Their enthusiasm, encouragement and willingness to help others made the morning even more enjoyable.

There were some fantastic sightings throughout the morning, and several members captured what are sure to be some stunning images. Just as valuable were the countless tips, conversations and shared discoveries along the way. Sometimes it's those little observations from a fellow photographer that lead to images we might otherwise have missed.

A magical location, a great group of photographers, plenty of laughter and conversation, and beautiful weather combined to create the perfect morning out.
