Introducing the Wednesday Morning 8am Crew: Ashley, Liz and Sarah!
Every Wednesday morning, rain or shine, Ashley, Liz and Sarah head out to collect food donations from OzHarvest and One Meal. Together, they navigate the hills and potholes of Raglan Street, transporting fresh fruit and vegetables back to the stock room before most of us have had our first coffee.
Let's be honest, this isn't a shift that has volunteers knocking down the door to sign up. It's early, it's outdoors, and it's physically demanding. Yet somehow, we've found three volunteers who are perfect for the job. Week after week, they show up with stories, laughter, plenty of energy, and a willingness to work up a sweat for the benefit of our community.
Ashley, Liz and Sarah, we feel incredibly lucky to have you as part of the team. Thank you for everything you do.

We are excited to introduce two new volunteers, Margaret and Lou, to the LocalKind Wednesday Drop-In team!

Both Margaret and Lou bring a wealth of volunteering experience and share a genuine heart for serving others.

Margaret has supported charitable organisations through mentoring and volunteering internationally, helping to build homes with Habitat for Humanity in Cambodia and supporting orphanages in the Philippines.

Lou also has a history of giving back through her work. She volunteers with Mary MacKillop Today and is employed by Good Return, organisations dedicated to creating opportunities and improving lives both here and overseas.

We're incredibly grateful that they've chosen to share their time, skills and kindness with the Northern Beaches community, and we feel very lucky to have them as part of the LocalKind family.

Please join us in giving Margaret and Lou a very warm welcome!

It's been a tough week at LocalKind. Our caseworkers have really gone the extra mile for our clients, but things haven't always gone the way we'd hoped. So, when Mikayla from International College of Management, Sydney ICMS Castlelife came in with their food drive donations, it really lifted our spirits. What a beautiful way to wrap up the week. Thank you to ICMS Castlelife and the team for your heartwarming generosity. You truly made our week!

Need help with your tax return? LocalKind is offering the **ATO Tax Help Program** at our Community Hub in Manly from **Tuesday 7 July**.

This free service is provided by trained ATO volunteers for people with simple tax affairs. Appointments are essential.
