🖤💛❤️ NAIDOC WEEK – DAY 5 ❤️💛🖤
Today, we proudly concluded our NAIDOC Week celebrations with a very special visit from Ms Joe, a respected member of the Aboriginal community, who generously shared stories and cultural experiences with our Earth Senior children.
Ms Joe introduced the children to beautiful examples of Aboriginal-inspired artwork, including dot paintings of kangaroos, turtles and other native Australian animals. Through storytelling and discussion, the children gained a deeper appreciation of Aboriginal culture, fostering cultural awareness, a sense of belonging and respect for diversity.
Inspired by the stories, the children then created their own dot paintings on snake-shaped cardboard, expressing their creativity while developing fine motor skills, imagination and confidence. As they worked together, they also practised sharing, taking turns and supporting one another.
A heartfelt thank you to Ms Joe for sharing her knowledge, culture and time with our children. Experiences like these help create meaningful connections and inspire lifelong respect for Australia's First Nations Peoples.
🖤💛❤️ Happy NAIDOC Week!
