Did you know you should be putting your COMPOUND EXERCISES first in your session!? π€
A compound exercise is an exercise that works multiple muscles at once. E.g squats, smith lunges, hip thrusts, deadlifts etc. they are great movements because they work your bigger muscles and supporting muscles around them.
Once youβve ticked those off, work down your program in order of bigger exercises to smaller muscle groups.
Why!? Because of muscle fatigue. You donβt want to be maxing out and fatiguing little supporting muscles on isolation exercises before putting them to work in a compound movement.
Here we have doing the Workout of the Day from the .app working compounds to isos:
π― Smith Machine stationary lunges x8
π― Hip Thrusts x 10
π― Lat Pull down x10
π― Straight arm push downs x 10 (abs)
π― Ab roller for 10 in between each exercise
