The Company:

On the Pier Pty Ltd consists of two restaurants, both located in Port Melbourne.

👉 Waterfront on the Pier has a seafood and Mediterranean based menu, focusing on fresh and local ingredients. Waterfront on the Pier also includes a function space of up to 150 people for both sit down and cocktail events.

👉 Generations Cafe, Bar and Grill focuses on your pub style food and service. Our aim is to offer excellent customer service and dining experience throughout both restaurants – be it a family gathering, an intimate dinner for two or a friend’s night out.

👉 We are looking for experienced Floor Staff to work in both restaurants. Positions are being offered on casual and / or part-time basis.

👉 You will be responsible for:

✅ Preparing and cooking food according to customers’ orders;
✅ Receiving and confirming walk-in, telephone, and online reservations;
✅ Managing own section during service;
✅ Walking guests to their tables and providing them with menus;
✅ Explaining any daily specials;
✅ Suggestive selling and upselling to the customers;
✅ Taking food and drink orders;
Serving food and drinks;
✅ Clearing tables and re-setting tables as per standard;
✅ Assisting in providing an overall excellent dining experience;
✅ Assistance in bar work ideal – non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, beers, spirits and wines and barista.

👉 Ideal candidate(s):

✅ Experience in Front of House ideal, but fear not, we are looking for candidates with the right attitude over experience!
✅ Wine and bar experience ideal
Barista / coffee knowledge ideal
✅ Confident in POS and Cash Handling
✅ Able to manage and work a section
✅ Able to 3-plate carry
✅ Great interpersonal, team work and customer service skills.
✅ Ability to work under pressure and in busy environments
✅ Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid Victorian RSA
✅ Must be double vaccinated and be able to provide proof of vaccination status.

The Role

We are looking for suitable Deli Assistant candidates for the new store in Templestowe.

The Deli Assistant is responsible for delivering high levels of customer service to ensure customers experience the true MarketPlace fresh experience.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Food preparation, slicing continental meats, cutting cheese, wrapping and packing meals
Providing amazing customer service
Setting up deli in the morning and packing down at end of day
Cleaning and following strict cleaning procedure
Working as a team
Deliver high standards of customer service by assisting customers with their queries and complaints resolution to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Understand stock movements and volumes and place recommended orders with management. Also ensure stock is rotated correctly.
Maintaining knowledge and understanding of all WHS and food safety obligations and MarketPlace Fresh Compliance requirements.

Key Selection Criteria:

Experience in similar role is required, as a deli assistant is required
Excellent communication skills and demonstrate experience in exceptional customer service.
Experience in stacking/replenishing and checking quality of stock.
Effective time management and ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to work in a team and coordinate with one another.
Flexibility with one's availability.
Cash handling Experience.
Experience working with POS & EFTPOS.
Proficient computer and technical skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

The Role

Marketplace Fresh is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Warehouse Forklift Drivers to join their team at their busy stores.

The successful applicants will be responsible for floor set up, stock rotation and loading and unloading of goods and fresh produce. The successful candidates must have flexible working hours throughout the week, and must be available for 5 or 6am starts. The position is available on a casual basis, but regular weekly hours will be provided.

We are looking for suitable candidates for our stores in Casey, Parkmore, Highpoint, Essendon and Templestowe.

The main responsibilities include:

Work in the delivery and loading bay of the stores, and loading and unloading deliveries onto pallets
Assist with loading and unloading stock
Timely set up of all the sections and managing the displayed stock level according to the daily requirement.

Ensure correct stock rotation is carried out when storing fresh produce and goods
Comply with OH&S Practices
General warehouse housekeeping such as cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and machinery

Key Selection Criteria:

Experience in similar role is preferred
Fork Lift License is required
Be able to assist with any heavy lifting as required
Experience in the fruit and vegetable industry is highly desirable.
Experience in stacking/replenishing and checking quality of stock.

Ability to work in a team and coordinate with one another.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrate experience in exceptional customer service
