I love making people happy. Especially on their wedding day! Your celebration is my number 1 priority

Happy Wednesday, all you wonderful people!

How crazy that we're almost through March! Legit it was only a few days ago that I was cuddling with my fiancee on the balcony, watching the fireworks over the Docklands and saying "Happy New Year...can I go to bed now?" šŸ˜‚

But, it means that the days are growing shorter and winter is just around the corner. Boooo!

If you're planning on getting married this winter - like we are - then have I got some news for you: from now until September 30th, all weddings performed by me within metropolitan Melbourne will be capped at $600! Maximum! Some exclusions apply for public holidays and long weekends and if you're in regional Victoria some travel expenses will be added. Otherwise, no ceremony will be over 600 clams!

If you want a fun, engaging ceremony that you and your loved ones will remember forever, then let's work together.

Get in touch to secure your big day!

Happy Wednesday all you wonderful people. Please allow me to introduce myself - I'm Rhett Chapman, and I'm an authorised marriage celebrant working in the metropolitan Melbourne area, though I don't mind a trip to regional Victoria. 😁
I wanted to take a moment to tell you why I enjoy performing wedding ceremonies. Recently, my partner and I have been planning our wedding (though she's really doing the heavy lifting - thanks baby!), and I got to thinking about why I enjoy performing wedding ceremonies.

Like a lot of things, I knew I liked it, but I hadn't stopped to think about why. I've always been good at speaking in front of crowds and creating a fun, vibrant atmosphere, but that didn't explain why I liked it. That was just the way I like to work, both in my full-time job and as a celebrant. After all, who wants to work if you're not having at least a little bit of fun?

Then, it clicked. There is nothing quite like the joy of uniting a couple who love each other. There is a pure, wholesome and captivating happiness that occurs during a wedding, which fills not just the happy couple, but all the guests as well.

And I love being a part of it! Pronouncing a couple married to a group of elated, cheering loved ones is an amazing experience and one I never get tired of. I've been a celebrant since 2017 and the excitement of marrying a couple is like nothing else in the world!
I also want to mention my Wonderful Winter Weddings offer: from now until September 30th, the most you'll pay is $600. Exclusions apply for public holidays and long weekends, and anywhere more than an hours drive from the Melbourne CBD will have some additional travel expenses, but otherwise $600 clams is all you'll pay.
If you want a fun, engaging ceremony that you and your loved ones will remember forever, then let's work together.

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I posted on this account! To be honest, there hasn’t been much to post about. Personally, I haven’t performed a ceremony since February. Understandably, there have been so many unknowns regarding restrictions throughout the past 2 years that certainty has been hard to come by.

But it’s 2022 now! It’s a new year, and it looks likely that lockdowns are (hopefully) a thing of the past. I’m looking forward to leaving the last two years behind us and make 2022 a better year for myself and those around me.

Late last year, I was doing the annual Ongoing Professional Development (OPD) that all celebrants must do. One of the questions was why do I love being a celebrant? It is simple question, but it’s one that is so important to understand the answer to. After all, why we do things can be as important as what we do.

So, why do I love being a celebrant?

Because I love to celebrate people! Getting married is one of the biggest moments in a person’s life, where they look at the person they love most in the world and say, ā€œwhatever comes next, we’re doing it togetherā€. In making that commitment, they start a brand-new phase in their lives, one of challenges and triumphs, and being involved in that is such a joyous feeling. There is nothing quite like it!

I’m so excited for what 2022 has in store. After such a long time out of action, I can’t wait to get back to doing this thing I love!

Take care of yourselves out there. And if you need the services of a celebrant, drop me a line! I’d love to work with you.

Oh Melbourne, this one really stings, doesn't it? We've done so well since July last year, been through a lot together as a city, and to cop this when we seem so close to the vaccine just doesn't seem fair, does it?

I've had some clients left in limbo because of these developments, and my heart breaks for them. For one couple, they were just 2 days away from saying "I do" before the announcement was made. If you know someone in a similar situation, make sure you get around and support them - they will really be going through it right now.

This won't last forever, and our city and state will get through this. It's okay to feel a bit flat - or worse - right now. And don't be afraid to reach out to people, whether you need help or suspect they do. We overcome this together

Stay safe, beauties!
