I'm in disbelief of what happened Helen Kamutumbe. A woman whose life was taken in the most cruel and unimaginable way. My heart is heavy as I try to process such a senseless and horrific act.

While my thoughts do go to the six children she has left behind, I am equally shaken by what this says about us as a society. No one deserves to lose their life in such brutality. It is deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable.

There must be justice. Those responsible for this act must be identified and punished to the fullest extent of the law. Anything less would be a failure not only to Helen, but to the values we claim to uphold.

Zambia is not a country where such barbaric acts define us. We are better than this. We must stand together to reject violence in all its forms and ensure that dignity and humanity remain at the center of our communities. We must protect Women against any form of violence.

Today, I stand in sorrow and in solidarity, calling for justice and accountability.

This month end, I'm supporting another group to invest in small business ideas. Today I would like to highlight Maureen Malama, a sickle cell warrior based in Lusaka.

Ms. Mambwe’s business involves selling dry kapenta and second-hand UK duvets to households, schools, and offices. With a K2,000 loan, stock will be purchased and marketed through social media and direct selling. Profits from sales will enable a monthly repayment of K200 while supporting financial stability, growth, and improved living conditions.

Profits generated will be reinvested to increase stock volume and expand trading operations to additional markets.

The goal is to repay the loan within six months while maintaining sufficient working capital to continue and expand operations.
