Buyer, beware! Another Google Ads “Feature” that is new to the interface. When setting up a new campaign it asks if you only want to bid for new customers – Found this on a Manual CPC setup, and it caught me a bit off guard! Of course, you want to bid on new customers! But when you click yes it changes your bid strategy. The alternative way – and simpler way – is to exclude your brand name from search campaigns.

So here, don’t tick the box or it will change your bid strategy. What a confusing process!

What does Google core update mean for your search results?

Last week, Google announced a core update to its algorithm.
While tweaks and changes to the algorithm are constantly being made, a core update—which only takes place a few times per year—is especially significant.

The changes, which will take a fortnight to roll out, are expected to cause notable fluctuations in search results and alter the ranking of many websites. The goal is to prioritise valuable content, and downgrade content of questionable merit, in order to better serve Google users.

While there’s no need to fear these updates, it is a good time to take stock of your online presence. Does your site show trustworthiness, relevance and high production standards? If the answer is yes, you’re best placed to maintain and increase your ranking.
