We have now completed the modelling phase of our V160 / V161 transmission centre plate.

During development, we incorporated additional reinforcement ribs to further increase strength and durability. We also added a magnetic oil drain plug, as these transmissions were never originally equipped with a drain plug in the factory casing. The internal oiling channels have been redesigned and improved to reduce oil surge toward the rear of the transmission under hard acceleration.

Another major improvement was eliminating the factory linear bearings and replacing them with custom phosphor bronze bushings. Linear bearings can become a weak point, particularly when paired with a dog engagement gearset, which is currently being developed behind the scenes.

Every design change has been made with strength, reliability, and performance in mind, ensuring the V160 / V161 platform is ready to handle the demands of high-horsepower applications.

We would like to welcome one of the latest drivers to join our Quickchange Differential program here in Australia ... Jason Ferron, the big boss behind Keep it R**t.

Jason Ferron has built and campaigns his RB30-powered R34 sedan across Australian events that he not only drives in, but also helps organize. His car has become a strong representation of what real grassroots and professional-level motorsport look like combined.

We’re proud to have Jason onboard with our Quickchange Differential program, and even more proud to see our components being pushed in a platform like his R34.

The car is already running our RB Dog Engagement Gearset, so now having both the gearbox and differential side of the driveline covered by Speedtek components means a lot to us as a manufacturer.

When you see both ends of the driveline working together in one package, especially in an aggressive RB30 setup, it gives us direct feedback in real-world conditions that you simply can’t replicate anywhere else.

Looking forward to supporting Jason and seeing what he and the R34 can do this season.
