We 💜 all the support from our customers for our small family business 😁 Every Liker, Commenter and Follower has contributed in unimaginable ways to our pages and business. We understand we are not the cheapest cake maker out there and Yes! we run our business from home... however we are Council Registered ($$), we pay business insurance ($$), we pay home insurance with an extra business add on ($$), we pay Streatrader ($$), we pay GST ($$$), stock ($), utilities ($) and ingredients ($). We don’t have machines that bake or ice our cakes for us (but we can always dream 💡). We don’t charge our customers GST and we absorb these costs.
Next time you think.. “It’s Just A Cake” and yes it’s just butter, milk, flour, sugar and eggs; consider when you buy fabric from Spotlight for $8 p/m and asking someone to make you a ball gown. If it’s custom made for your size, your needs, your style it will cost time and money. If you go to Bunnings and buy wood and nails and ask a Carpenter to make it into a cabinet it will cost $$. Please understand we are creating Art in most respects and our time and expenses should also be respected. Not saying at all that everyone should or will pay $$$ for an expensive cake but there is a reason why we charge what we charge... although pulling figures out of thin air would also be nice 🤪 we actually take the time to calculate all the costs involved in your design. So if a cake quote isn’t your ideal slice of cake, please know that it is absolutely fine and we completely understand. A simple Thank You for your time is all that’s needed.
