🌏 Major Updates to Australia’s Migration System! 🎓

The Department of Home Affairs is introducing significant changes to ensure a more robust and strategic migration system. Here's what you need to know:

✅ Ending Visa Hopping: As of July 1, new measures will take effect to curb 'visa hopping', where temporary visa holders, including students, repeatedly extend their stay in Australia.

🚫 Visitor to Student Pathway Closed: Visitor Visa holders can no longer apply for Student Visas onshore. Over 36,000 applications were filed for this pathway since last July, and this change is aimed at strengthening the integrity of the offshore student visa process.

🎓 Temporary Graduate Visa Update: Holders of Temporary Graduate Visas will no longer be eligible to apply for Student Visas onshore. This move is designed to encourage graduates to secure skilled jobs and transition to permanent residency or leave the country, reducing the number of 'permanently temporary' residents.

📉 Reduction in Post-Study Work Rights and More: The government is also reducing post-study work rights, lowering the maximum age limit for Temporary Graduate visas to 35, and enforcing stricter English language requirements.
