The next exhibition coming to MAGNET is going off like a rocket......you'd better believe us - WE REALLY MEAN IT!!
FLY ME TO THE MOON is a collection of digital artworks by TRACEY ROBERTS artist/musician/synaesthete (what's that? - music and colours are connected in her brain - so her vibrant-coloured artworks are inspired by the jazzy songs she writes).
The exhibition includes 12 unique art prints on 12 different exotic papers from all around the world, printed by Photonet Fine Art Printing here at MAGNET.
Better still, in digital form these artworks really are blasting off to the surface of the moon as part of the LUNAR CODEX Project, beautifully described by The New York Times as "A time capsule of human creativity stored in the sky".
Read all about it here : https://www.lunarcodex.com/ Tracey's art will be aboard Codex Polaris in October this year.
Opening on FRIDAY 10 JULY at 6.30pm this unique event also includes TWO opportunities to hear Tracey discussing her art, music and the Lunar Codex Project
and on FRIDAY 24 JULY Tracey sings MOON SONGS at MAGNET - a great little concert that will feature the moon in every song - just as the moon's hidden in each work of art!
Concert tickets: $18 at TRYBOOKING. (Scan the QR code on the MOON SONGS poster or via the Trybooking website : https://www.trybooking.com/book/search
and follow the prompts.
