Weβre proud to launch the Moving Beyond Cancer DIEP Recovery Program!
Recovery after DIEP flap breast reconstruction is about more than healing from surgery. Many women tell us thereβs a gap between being medically cleared and truly feeling confident, strong, and ready to return to everyday life.
This program was created to help bridge that gap.
Developed by Accredited Exercise Physiologists specialising in cancer rehabilitation, and shaped with input from women with lived experience, plastic surgeons, medical specialists, and our own clinical expertise, this program provides structured, phase-based education and exercise support from pre-surgery through to long-term recovery.
It supports women with:
β’ Preparing for surgery
β’ Early recovery and returning to daily activities
β’ Shoulder, abdominal and core rehabilitation
β’ Fatigue management
β’ Returning to exercise and meaningful activities
β’ Building confidence through education and ongoing support
Whether youβre preparing for surgery, in the early stages of recovery, or seeking guidance further down the track, weβre here to support you.
A heartfelt thank you to the women and healthcare professionals who generously shared their experiences and expertise to help bring this program to life.
π More information about the DIEP Recovery Program is available via the link in our bio.
Please feel free to share this with anyone preparing for or recovering from DIEP flap breast reconstruction, and with the health professionals who support them.
