Landmark Inspections
Quality building inspections and easy to read reports

The Landmark team is lucky to have a plumber that works with us completing detailed inspections of the plumbing during construction.
He recently found this at a job (our building inspector noticed this also), 1st floor sewer piping held in position with soft brackets installed sideways and upside down.
Left like this, what is going to happen to this drain once the sewerage system is being used is that it will move from position and likely not have adequate gradient resulting in blockages occurring.

Today we completed a pre-plaster inspection.
During our walk around, we noticed a creeper rafter had dropped significantly. This was resulting in the fascia and the roof cladding not being adequately supported. Additionally, the fall protection that was secured to this rafter is also compromised and will likely fail if someone falls into it on the roof!
The most frustrating part about finding this issue is that it was clearly highlighted in the frame report we completed several weeks ago and the builder/trades have decided not to complete the corrective repairs that are required prior to this occurring!

Oops.. I think the brick work was installed one course too high here!
Another example of trades not considering how their work affects other trades or the whole of building.
